Happy 2012

Happy New Year Everyone.  I can't believe its 2012 for heavens sake.  It seems like we just got into the new millennium.
We had a fabulous time at the New Years Eve dance here in Victoria Palms.  "The Agency" was the band playing an they were great.  We danced the night away and unfortunately drank the night away as well.  I am sure there was something in the wine they were selling because I really didn't drink as much as my body was telling me I did especially the next day.  We planned to go out for dinner New Years Day and I was too embarrassed to tell our friends that I was still not feeling well.  So we all went to The Brewery Pub.  We had great food and after eating causiously I felt better.  Joe said he was feeling good from the get go, but he looked a little green under the collar.
Here are a bunch of us at Mercedes and Norm's before we went to the dance.  Joe is taking the picture as usual.
On Jan 5th I think it was, (boy the memory fails) Marcella and I went to Mission to pick up our friends Joan and Vic and take them to the McAllen airport.  They had to fly to Houston, stay over, then to Miami and from there Quito, Ecuador.  They are so adventuresome!  They took the little dog with them because he is a service dog and reminds Joan to take her pills, which are anti-rejection pills and very expensive and important. They have arrived safely now and will be there for 3 months.  Good for them.
All is well here.  The weather has been better in January than it was in December and we are exercising quite a lot trying to keep fit and trim. Quite a chore actually.
Our grandson Matthew started his new job in January with Unilever and we wish him lots of luck with that.
Sarah is still dancing like crazy, working hard at school and having a good time with her friends.  Jamie is working hard as always.  Laurie and Rob are doing some work on the house and the boys (Rob, Matthew and Jamie) have gone skiing once or twice that I know of.
Joey is now working full time for Telax and is doing some writing for them as well as IT work.  Kate got a promotion to director of her company and is really quite awsome.  We are proud of the whole family.
The sun is shining so I am going to join Joe on the deck for some relaxation before we head out with 14 of our friends to a new Barbeque restaurant called Suzie Q's.  Hope its good.
