A trip to Halls Harbour

The weather continues to be overcast and cool, but the rain has subsided, so we reckoned a trip to Halls Harbour was in order.

The only problem was it was also the apple blossom day parade in Kentville. It is normally a 45 minute drive from Windsor to Halls Harbour. We encountered "the parade".
Apparently everyone for 50 miles, except us, was going to the parade. We ran into road closure after road closure and 2 hours later, ended up at Halls Harbour.

Pictures below are the ocean side of Halls Harbour.

Boats are on the leeward side. The tide was in and the boats were floating. At low tide, (41 ft lower) the boats are grounded.

We headed for the restaurant and the gift shop. Chris and I, although starving, waited for an eon for the girls to check out the gift shop. Finally lunch. Lobster roll for Lorna and Fish and Chips for the rest of us.

We found a friend in the restaurant for Bonnie and Lorna to bond with, even though Bonnie does not like lobster.

I figured another photo of the boats in the harbour was in order.

And of course a photo your fearless travellers on a cool and overcast day. But no rain.

Tomorrow promises some sun. We will see.
