Another Day in Paradise

Up at the crack of dawn this morning. We had to be up by 8 o'clock to be at the front of our hotel by 9:25.  Y'all may scoff, but when you're on vacation that is early.

We signed up for the "hop on hop off" buses. There are 5 coloured lines that go to different places around the island. Of course our 1st trek was the "pink line" as it went to the Ala Moana which is Hawaii's major shopping centre.

Wow, this is an enormous mall with every high end store you can imagine.

Dan and I left the girls near Macy's and headed for a bar.
Luckily we found the Mai Tai Bar on the 4th level. We suffered through a couple of beers, while the girls shopped. We finally found them, almost exhausted from shopping, but we helped them to Bubba Gumps for some needed refreshment (wine) followed by lunch. They have the best shrimp ever.  The girls found some great sales at Macy's, so were very happy.  Definitely have to go back to Macy's to take advantage of some more of the great deals.  After seeing the high prices at the "high end" stores, it was a pleasure to find normal prices.  And sales to boot.

Took the "pink line" back to the condo for a brief rest before venturing out again.

Once we were rested, we headed to the bar at the hotel next to the Ilikai.
Drinks, Pizza and a couple more drinks and we were ready for an early night,
